No. The AEO features (schema markup, content detection, bulk optimization) work standalone. A RequestDesk account enables additional features like AI content generation and one-click publishing from the RequestDesk platform.
What WordPress versions are supported?
WordPress 5.0 and later. Tested up to WordPress 6.3.
Is the plugin really free?
Yes. The plugin is free and open source under GPLv2. We're currently in alpha and seeking feedback from WordPress users. Install it, try it, tell us what you think.
How does smart content detection work?
The plugin analyzes your content for patterns: price mentions trigger Product schema, Q&A format triggers FAQ schema, step-by-step instructions trigger HowTo schema. You can set the confidence threshold (40%, 60%, or 80%) for automatic detection.
Will this slow down my site?
No. Schema markup is added to the page head as JSON-LD, which doesn't affect page rendering. Detection runs on save, not on page load. The plugin follows WordPress best practices.
